JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to oversee daily accounting operations and ensure the integrity of financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, leadership ability, and a track record of managing teams, audits, and compliance in line with IFRS/GAAP standards.

SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP), taxation, and audit processes
  • Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics) and advanced MS Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Proven track record in financial reporting, compliance, and audits
  • Open to male and female candidates currently based in the UAE
  • Must be available to join immediately

Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, inventory, and general ledger
  • Lead month-end and year-end closings with timely reconciliations and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP, tax regulations, and internal control policies
  • Oversee internal and external audits, preparing schedules and addressing findings
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and financial resources
  • Support preparation of financial statements and management reports (MIS)
  • Guide, mentor, and develop accounting staff for high performance
  • Review and approve inventory-related entries, cost adjustments, and stock provisions
  • Provide financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic initiatives
