Job Details Salary Range: $180,000.00 - $180,000.00 Salary Salary Flexible Based on Experience. The Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) is a C‑Suite–level position responsible for the strategy, quality, and evidence base of Protocall’s clinical products and services. This position reports to Protocall’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CCO oversees Protocall’s integrated clinical vision and brings forward insights from advances in suicide prevention, crisis intervention, digital health, TeleHealth, and related behavioral health domains relevant to Protocall’s market. The CCO provides clinical leadership for Protocall’s evolving product ecosystem, ensuring that clinical strategy informs product development, integration, and innovation. The CCO also serves as a public clinical representative of Protocall, contributing to the organization’s external credibility and influence across the behavioral‑health landscape. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the CCO contributes to creating and maintaining an organizational culture that supports excellence, accountability, and alignment with Protocall’s mission and values. The CCO shares executive‑level responsibility for contributing to organizational strategy, providing cross‑departmental guidance, and ensuring that programs and processes align with company goals. Key measures of success include internal and external clinical quality reviews, clinical outcome measures, financial outcomes tied to clinical strategy, customer satisfaction and retention, workforce engagement and retention. Key Responsibilities: Supervision and Clinical Oversight • Direct supervision of the Director of Clinical Services and the Medical Director • Supports the Director of Clinical Services in leading, motivating, and developing call‑center clinical staff to maintain a culture of exceptional service • Oversees Protocall’s clinical service delivery model across all clinical programs and products, intervention standards, documentation standards, QA processes, and outcome measures • Informs organizational clinical risk‑management practices Quality Assurance and Accreditations • Ensures effective implementation of Protocall’s clinical assessment and documentation standards • Supports the Director of Clinical Services in resolving escalated clinical complaints, potential adverse incidents, and other clinical quality concerns • Partners across departments to ensure continual quality improvement and compliance with licensure and accreditation requirements Budgetary and Strategic Stewardship ● Oversees clinical budget development and stewardship, ensuring alignment between clinical strategy, operational capacity, and financial sustainability Cross‑Functional Collaboration • Collaborates with Sales, Partner Services, and Customer Success functions by providing clinical expertise that supports new business development, partner retention, and solution design • Serves as a clinical representative in strategic partner conversations, articulating Protocall’s clinical philosophy, outcomes, and evidence‑based approach • Collaborates on white papers, presentations/webinars, and clinical content development for digital products Clinical Product Strategy and Roadmap ● Partners with Product leadership to shape the clinical product roadmap across the Welltrack Ecosystem, ensuring alignment with evidence‑based practice, customer needs, and market trends. ● Identifies emerging clinical needs and evaluates efficacy and user experience to inform product priorities. ● Translates clinical strategy into scalable features and workflows within the Welltrack ecosystem. ● Provides clinical insight to guide prioritization, user‑centered design, and go‑to‑market planning. Thought Leadership and Strategic Market Influence ● Serves as a recognized clinical voice for Protocall, representing the organization in online and professional forums, at conferences, and in industry initiatives. ● Tracks emerging trends in behavioral health and digital care to inform organizational strategy and market positioning. ● Advises executive leadership on innovations in care delivery and the evolving needs of Protocall’s core markets. ● Strengthens Protocall’s visibility and clinical credibility through external engagement, thought leadership, and strategic partnerships. PHI Access ● Will routinely access PHI as part of essential job functions, including work review, data analysis, training, addressing customer concerns, conducting quality assurance activities, or investigating potential adverse or privacy‑related incidents. Due to the need to review clinician work and analyze data, any call record may need to be accessed by clinical leadership at any time. Other Duties ● Performs other duties as requested ________________________________________ Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Expertise in behavioral health issues and interventions relevant to Protocall’s market segments • Knowledge of emerging best practices in clinical models, suicide prevention, crisis intervention, and behavioral health delivery nationwide • Strong understanding of behavioral health system transformation, healthcare reform, and evolving technologies in behavioral health delivery • Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and leadership skills • Proven ability to make effective presentations and align diverse stakeholders • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑moving, mission‑driven environment • Demonstrated ability to provide clinical thought leadership and to translate clinical insights into organizational strategy Requirements • Master’s degree or higher in a behavioral health discipline with current license, or ability to obtain license within 90 days • Minimum ten years of leadership experience in behavioral health and fifteen years clinical experience • Nationally recognized expertise and leadership in one or more of Protocall’s market domains (e.g., higher education, 988, community behavioral health, managed care, EAP), including contributions such as published work, national presentations, participation in standards‑setting bodies, or leadership within professional organizations • Demonstrated prior responsibility for developing, overseeing, or stewarding budgets within clinical, operational, or programmatic areas • Demonstrated accomplishments in collaboratively shaping/designing clinical care, systems, and standards in the evolving mental-health/behavioral health space • Experience supporting sales and customer‑success conversations from a clinical perspective • Flexibility for travel 10-15% of schedule and ability to provide rapid responsiveness in support of 24‑hour operations Protocall Services Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
