REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience in creating and managing coffee programs (at least 2-3 years in a similar role)
  • In-depth knowledge of coffee equipment, techniques, and beverage trends
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a focus on training and development
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering an outstanding customer experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As the Chief Coffee Officer, you will take the lead in designing, implementing, and overseeing our coffee and beverage program. This includes selecting the right equipment, managing the installation, curating the menu, and ensuring the program is executed with excellence. You’ll also be responsible for hiring and training a team of baristas and beverage specialists who will bring our coffee vision to life.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Equipment Selection & Installation: Research and recommend the best coffee equipment (espresso machines, grinders, brewers, etc.) to fit the needs of the bakery. Oversee installation and ensure everything is set up and functioning properly.
  • Menu Creation: Develop a coffee and beverage menu that complements our bakery offerings. This includes creating a variety of espresso-based drinks, brewed coffees, teas, and cold beverages.
  • Staff Hiring & Training: Hire and train a team of baristas and beverage specialists, ensuring they provide excellent customer service, consistency in drink quality, and a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
  • Quality Control: Implement quality control standards for all coffee and beverage preparation, ensuring the highest level of consistency and quality at all times.
  • Customer Experience: Work closely with the front-of-house team to integrate the coffee program into our overall customer experience, ensuring it enhances the vibe and atmosphere of the bakery.
  • Ongoing Program Management: Monitor and adjust the coffee program as needed, including sourcing new products, adjusting the menu, and keeping up with coffee trends.
