Description:
CHIEF COMMERCIAL OFFICER - CCO
Our client, a new US start-up in Ireland who are a global leader in temperature-controlled logistics exclusively serving the life sciences industry, are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to head up this new Irish operation.
With strategically located facilities in the US, and Shannon, Co. Clare, our clients provide unmatched supply chain solutions that help companies transport sensitive biopharmaceutical products with greater speed, security, and sustainability & this new hire will be key to this success. .
The Role & Responsibilities:
As CCO, you will be responsible for leading the company’s commercial strategies for Ireland, driving business growth & also building and managing a high-performing commercial operations team.
More specifically you will:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion in the life sciences sector.
- In conjunction with the Business Development team you will secure new business opportunities & establish long-term strategic client partnerships.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on customer needs and service delivery.
- Analyse market trends & competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and potential risks.
- Create and manage organisational budgets & monitor KPIs to track performance.
- Represent the organization at industry events and conferences to enhance visibility and establish connections.
- Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners to drive long-term business success
Skills & Experience that we need:
- 8-10+ years of experience in commercial/operations/site lead role withing the logistics/supply chain sector.
- Experience in temperature controlled or cold chain logistics would be a major advantage.
- Experience working in, or working with clients from, the life sciences or related sectors would be a major advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for the life sciences sector
The Offer:
The salary & benefits package on offer will be negotiated at a senior/executive level to reflect the significant complexities and responsibilities of this role.
Although the operation will be based in Shannon Co. Clare, the role can be office based, hybrid or primarily remote (within Ireland) to suit the incoming candidate.
Candidates without full eligibility to live & work in Ireland on a permanent basis will not be considered.
