Maviance PLC is engaging in its expansion phase in Cameroon and within the CEMAC (Central African) region with the goal of establishing the company as the #1 leading player in the Fintech and Digital Financial space. To accompany us in this journey, we seek a Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) who will take full ownership of Maviance’s commercial engine and drive sustainable revenue growth. In this role, you will lead merchant acquisition and retention, scale transaction volumes, and develop high-impact enterprise partnerships across our product portfolio. You will be responsible for defining and executing the commercial strategy, identifying new market opportunities, and spearheading regional expansion across Cameroon and the wider CEMAC market. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to strengthen go-to-market execution, optimize pricing and revenue models, and reinforce Maviance’s market leadership. Key Responsibilities include but not limited to: Commercial Strategy & Revenue Leadership: Define and execute the commercial strategy, revenue planning, pricing, and performance management. Sales & Merchant Acquisition Model: Build scalable sales, enterprise, and partnership development functions with strong governance. Market Expansion & Ecosystem Partnerships: Lead CEMAC market entry and build partnerships with banks, Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), payment networks, and institutions. Product Commercialisation: Own pricing, positioning, go-to-market launch, and monetisation across the platform. Merchant Lifecycle & Retention: Drive onboarding, activation, retention, churn reduction, and revenue expansion. Governance & Reporting: Manage budgets, KPIs, compliance, risk, and Board-level reporting. Key Performance indicators: Transaction volume and value growth. Merchant retention and net revenue retention. Successful entry into new CEMAC markets. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or related field. MBA preferred. 8–15 years of commercial leadership experience with direct revenue and P&L accountability. Experience in fintech, payments, telecoms, banking, or aggregator platforms. Multi-country African experience; CEMAC familiarity is an advantage. Strong commercial judgement and strategic capability. Deep understanding of payments ecosystems, aggregator models, and merchant economics.
