Description Location: Monticello, Illinois Kirby Medical Center is seeking an engaging, mission-driven Chief Compliance Officer who is passionate about strengthening community fitness and wellness while stewarding our human resources, corporate compliance, and risk management activities. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will lead initiatives and departments that expand community fitness, wellness coaching, and outreach—ensuring these services are deeply connected to the needs of the people we serve. Working closely with senior leadership and community partners, you will create opportunities that make fitness and health outreach accessible and impactful. In addition to these community-focused responsibilities, the Chief Compliance Officer serves as the organization’s steward of corporate compliance, enterprise risk management, and human resources. You will lead, manage, and actively participate in a comprehensive compliance program that prevents, detects, and responds to regulatory concerns, ensuring all operations align with state, federal, and accreditation standards. This includes regularly updating the compliance program to align with OIG guidance and regulatory changes; managing internal and external audits; leading investigations; monitoring policies and procedures; conducting risk assessments; educating stakeholders; and advising senior leadership and the Governing Board on key compliance and risk matters. As a key member of the leadership team, you’ll oversee, in partnership with the HR Director, human resources and benefits administration, and represent Kirby Medical Center with professionalism and enthusiasm. Target start date: June 1, 2026 Requirements Required Qualifications 15+ years of healthcare industry experience Extensive experience managing a healthcare compliance program 10+ years in a healthcare executive role with multi-departmental responsibility Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, clinical degree, or similar Preferred Attributes Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) SHRM – CP, SCP or similar Risk management certification Master’s degree or above Extensive experience in community health programs, community outreach, or community education Since 1941, Kirby Medical Center has been the premier provider of healthcare in Piatt County and surrounding areas.
