THKMC was incorporated on 13 October 2011 as a charity to provide multiple social and welfare services to the community at large, and achieved an Institute of Public Character (IPC) status on 18 November 2011. THKMC is the charitable arm of Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society, which lives by the mission To Serve Mankind to help anyone who needs help regardless of their race, religion, colour, language, creed and culture. THKMC today serves more than 70,000 beneficiaries through more than 70 programmes across five Services, which include Disability, Early Intervention for Children, Family, Seniors’ Community, and Therapy.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Developmental Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in early intervention or related fields, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in strategic planning, programme development and team leadership.
Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Chief of Early Intervention for Children (EIC) Services is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing early intervention programmes and services within the organisation. This includes six EIPIC (Early Intervention Programme for Infants and Children) centres and the Development Support-Learning Support Programme. This role requires the individual to be a strategic thinker and inspirer in the leadership of a trans-disciplinary team, to improve the functional outcomes of the children and their families. The Chief of Early Intervention for Children will work collaboratively with government agencies, community partners, colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality, evidence-based, effective service delivery in alignment with THKMC’s vision, mission and strategic direction.
This role reports to the Chief Executive Officer.
