Job Description Direct and oversee the design, installation and operation of all electrical installations UG and Surface. Assists the Maintenance Superintendent in maintaining and improving overall mine efficiency and profitability. Maintains a safe efficient and profitable operation through legal compliance, timely and effective project completion, quality workmanship, and cost control and Management of the AMP Process. Qualifications Read, understand, and use engineering and maintenance drawings and schematics. Working knowledge of Federal and State Laws, UMWA Contract, and Company Policies. Microsoft Office and IFS. Develop and manage the mine maintenance budget. Position Prerequisites: Required - PA State Mine Electrician Certification Preferred - BS Electrical Engineering or PE Electrical Minimum UG and Surface Mining experience and at least 3 Years supervisory experience. Major Responsibilities Ensure safety and legal compliance in all maintenance systems and activities for Cumberland Mine. Evaluate and develop direct reports. Evaluate and provide development opportunities for maintenance employees. Assist the Mine Superintendent in development and execution of the mine plan. Develop mine maintenance budget. Coordinate electrical rebuild of mining equipment; determine and ensure quality standards for rebuilds. Determine new equipment needs and develop timeline to install, change out or replace equipment. Manage, plan and control the AMP process and utilize results to control performance and continuous improvement of all maintenance activities. Ensure compliance with UMWA contract for area of responsibility. Ensure, monitor and audit department and inter-department safety performance of the mine. Monitor and control distribution of maintenance overtime. Investigate new technologies. Develop maintenance 5- and 10-year plans and assist in development of mining plans.
