From technical systems to preventive maintenance, from energy efficiency to team leadership, you keep the hotel operating at its best. This is your daily contribution to an exceptional guest experience … Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of all engineering systems – HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical; Lead, schedule, and support the engineering team, ensuring effective coverage and high standards of work; Manage and implement preventive maintenance programs for equipment, guest rooms, and public areas; Respond quickly to maintenance requests or emergencies, minimising disruption to operations and guests; Collaborate with department heads to support operational needs and ensure seamless service delivery; Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, as well as legal and brand requirements; Manage contractors, service providers, and external inspections, ensuring quality and timely work; Monitor and optimise energy use, utilities, and maintenance budgets; Keep detailed maintenance records and assist with capital planning and project implementation; Train your team on safety, emergency procedures, and best practices. Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in hotel engineering or facilities management, with at least 3 years in a senior engineering leadership role. Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety. Experience in budgeting, project management, and contractor management. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy management systems is preferred. Familiarity with local regulations, building codes, and safety standards. Competencies: Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Analytical and detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in relevant software and systems, including BMS (Building Management Systems).
