Facility Operations * Ensure all hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, are in excellent condition. * Maintain compliance with brand standards for property upkeep and appearance. Safety and Compliance * Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including fire safety and building codes. * Perform regular safety inspections and maintain records of certifications and inspections. Energy Management * Monitor and manage energy consumption to improve efficiency and reduce costs. * Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainable practices. Budgeting and Procurement * Manage the department's budget for maintenance, repairs, and supplies. * Source and negotiate with vendors for equipment, parts, and service contracts. Crisis Management * Respond to and resolve emergencies such as power outages, plumbing failures, or HVAC issues to minimize guest impact. * Develop and implement contingency plans for major breakdowns or disasters. Collaboration with Other Departments * Work closely with housekeeping, front desk, and food & beverage teams to address maintenance needs promptly and support guest satisfaction. * Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or large-scale projects. Documentation and Reporting * Maintain detailed records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and expenses. * Report regularly to the General Manager or ownership on maintenance activities, issues, and improvements.
