Job Description The Chief Engineer responsible for all working matters under the operations and maintenance of building systems at CMI’s customer site in Des Moines, Iowa. Key Job Functions Act as the onsite first-line Supervisor to O&M staff Responsible for the building’s systems including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and supervision of technicians. Performs Preventive Maintenance tasks involving keeping equipment in good working order to reduce downtime and prevent breakdowns. Shall be onsite in a full-time capacity and on-call to respond to emergencies. Qualifications High School Diploma Experience in supervising and directing building operations and maintenance of equipment for a singular federal facility of at least 500,000 square feet. Shall possess one or more of the following certifications: 1. North American Technician Excellence (NATE) HVAC Service Technician Certification 2. HVAC Excellence Professional Level Certification 3. UA Star HVAC Mastery Certification Must maintain a minimum of 16 hours of continuing education per year from either NATE, HVAC Excellence, or UA Star recognized provider program.
