Introduction
We are seeking a Chief Engineer, Electrification to strengthen our Smelting EIA team in Finland! In this role, you will be involved in planning and implementing industrial plant supply projects to carry out Electrification system design activities as well as deliver R&D projects. In this position, you will report to Director, EIA Engineering.
This position is preferably located either in Espoo or Tampere, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. Please note that this position involves some traveling.

What you’ll do
Design process electrification for metallurgical plants
Manage process electrification deliveries (MV and LV switchgear, transformers, MCC, VSD, cabling) for quality, schedule and budget
Lead deliveries of special electrical equipment such as electrical components of electric smelting furnaces
Lead and manage partners’ engineering work locally and internationally
Provide conceptual designs, cost estimations and sales support, e.g. technical negotiations
Participate in installation supervision and commissioning at workshops and customer sites
Develop electrification technology and delivery procedures for our Business Area
Who you are
You have a degree in a relevant engineering field
You have expertise in MV and LV drives, as well as knowledge in power distribution in MV and LV
You know the basics of network calculations
You have a proactive attitude towards work and a desire for professional growth.
You enjoy working in the customer interface
You have fluent written and verbal communication skills in English
Know-how of basic engineering software and understanding of international standards
