As Chief of Engineering, you’ll direct the Engineering/Maintenance Team of your hotel and ensure the safety and comfort of hotel guests and team members. You will make sure all activities are conducted safely and in compliance with all company, local, state and federal regulations. You will motivate and train your team with the skills to keep hotels always looking its best. Requirements Reporting to the General Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions of the Chief Engineering include, but are not limited to: Overseeing the maintenance of the entire hotel facility including the physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC and technological systems and the related equipment in accordance with energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs. Developing, implementing and monitoring a preventive maintenance program of all building equipment, public areas and guestrooms. Adheres to all Corporate required purchasing policies and controls, to include all outside contractor bids, budgets and schedules. Maintaining maintenance inventory control as it relates to equipment and supplies. Submitting requisitions for needed supplies in line with forecast and budget and outside services for approval. Conducting routine inspections and walkthroughs of all hotel rooms and public areas. Leading the property Fire Safety program. Monitoring, updating and implementing a fire safety plan, building evacuation and disaster recovery plan. Rectifying any building, code, or fire violations in a timely manner. Coordinating with outside vendors and contractors and providing timely status updates to the Hotel General Manager. Point person for hotel renovation project. Experience: Previous Chief Engineering experience in a full-service hotel preferred Two years minimum Management & Supervisory experience Specialized expertise in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and carpentry fields are a plus technical skills to include use of common apps, basic computer – managing labor, maintaining checkbook, ordering materials, invoice management system Exempt Position salary up to 115K annually based on experience.
