QUALIFICATION:
Medical clearance
Must have valid SAMSA COC to serve in the capacity of Chief engineer onboard vessels <750Kw – MMHG advantageous.
SAMSA Medical
Have knowledge and experience on Offshore Supply Vessels or Tugs.
Must be able to work shifts, weekends and after hours.
Must be of sober habits and be tidy and organised.
Must have reliable transport.

Maintain high levels of safety ,diligence and work ethics .
Must be able to conduct duties during all hours of the day, as well as in adverse weather conditions.
To oversee the safe loading and discharge provisions on and off the launch vessel, taking safety and stability into account.
To ensure ongoing maintenance of vessel is performed and timeous reporting of any defects.
Maintaining sufficient consumables on board i.e. Lubricants, Water, Oil.
Routine checks/ engine room watch keeping.
Carrying out repairs when required.
Oversee the maintenance of Machinery on all vessels.
Pre/Post Voyage checklists and requirements to ensure reliability and economy of all engines on the vessel.
