What You’ll Do: Lead daily engineering and maintenance operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant resort operations. Develop and execute the strategic vision for the Engineering Department in alignment with resort goals. Coach, mentor, and develop the Engineering team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence. Oversee HVAC, refrigeration, and other critical building systems, including troubleshooting, repair, and installation. Manage scheduling, budgeting, capital reserves, P&L reviews, and departmental resources. Plan and execute Capital and Reserve projects from concept through completion on time and within budget. Build and maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and effective partnerships. Manage procurement, inventory, and control of tools, equipment, and materials. Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs as needed. Adhere to all company policies and consistently represent Westgate Resorts professionally. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Qualifications 3–5 years of leadership experience in engineering or a similar role at a property of at least 200 units. Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred. Licenses or certifications in trades such as refrigeration, plumbing, or electrical preferred. OSHA safety certification preferred. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record is required. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to lead with focus and enthusiasm. Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking). Ability to lift, push, pull, or move 50+ pounds. Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and varying schedules. Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and resort operations systems (HotSOS preferred). Ability to read blueprints, technical documents, and O&M manuals. Experience working on ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and in confined spaces. Westgate Resorts is a Smoke and Tobacco-Free workplace.
