Responsibilities
  • Leading and Managing Estimation Teams - This includes overseeing a team of estimators, providing guidance, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all cost estimates.
  • Developing and Implementing Estimation Processes - Establishing and refining standardized estimation methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Analysing Project Documents - Thoroughly reviewing project plans, specifications, and other relevant documentation to identify scope, requirements, and potential risks.
  • Developing Detailed Cost Estimates - Creating comprehensive cost estimates for all aspects of the EPC project, including materials, labour, equipment, subcontractors, and indirect costs.
  • Conducting Risk Assessments - Identifying potential cost overruns, delays, and other risks, and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborating with Stakeholders - Working closely with project managers, engineers, procurement specialists, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure alignment on cost estimates.
  • Presenting Estimates and Proposals- Preparing and presenting detailed cost estimates and proposals to senior management and clients, effectively communicating the rationale behind the estimates.
  • Mentoring and Training - Providing guidance and mentorship to junior estimators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and best practices.
  • Staying Updated on Industry Trends - Keeping abreast of the latest cost estimation techniques, software, and industry best practices.
  • Negotiating and Managing Subcontracts - Reviewing and negotiating subcontractor proposals and managing subcontract agreements.
