QUALIFICATIONS:

• 10+ years of experience in civil construction estimating, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, civil engineering or landscape architecture background is a plus
• Must have a strong background in civil construction, paving experience a plus, sports field experience a plus
• Proficiency in estimating software, HeavyBid and ProCore preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze and interpret complex data
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent computer skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Lead and manage the estimating and design team; provide guidance, support, and training as needed to 7 Estimators, 1 CAD & 1 Bid Coordinator
• Fine tune processes and procedures to efficiently run the department
• Oversee handoff meetings with finance and field operations
• Present department metrics to the Executive team during management meetings
• Monitor and improve Key Performance Indicators
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for self perform heavy civil construction projects
• Review and analyze plans, specifications, and other project documents to accurately determine project scope and cost
• Collaborate with partners, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate and timely estimates
• Negotiate pricing and terms with subcontractors and suppliers
• Assist in the preparation of design build proposals, bid documents and presentations
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, materials, and pricing to ensure the most accurate and competitive estimates
