POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Chief Estimator to lead our estimating department. This individual will play a critical role in shaping our project pipeline by overseeing all aspects of cost estimation, bid preparation, and proposal development. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of construction practices, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in estimating for general contracting projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in general contracting.
Proven leadership experience in managing estimating teams.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Lead and manage the estimating team to ensure accurate and timely preparation of bids and proposals.
Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary data for estimates.
Analyze historical data and market trends to improve cost forecasting and competitiveness.
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Present and defend estimates to senior leadership and clients.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Continuously improve estimating processes and tools for efficiency and accuracy.
