We have a unique opportunity available for a visionary leader to join Centrapay as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). At Centrapay, we’re transforming the way money moves. As a New Zealand fintech, we are developing an innovative payments platform that extends far beyond traditional cards. Our technology enables businesses to accept bank-to-bank payments, digital gift cards, loyalty rewards, vouchers, and digital assets all seamlessly integrated into one robust system. We are committed to delivering cost-effective alternative solutions for businesses, enhancing customer experiences, and empowering teams with the flexibility to innovate and launch new payment concepts quickly. Mō te Tūranga | About the Role As the CEO of Centrapay, you will set and lead the company’s strategic direction and long‑term vision, translating ambition into clear priorities, executable plans, and measurable outcomes. You will oversee the end‑to‑end performance of the organisation, working closely with the Board to deliver agreed objectives - balancing innovation, risk, growth, and financial discipline. What are some of the responsibilities for this role? Provide clear, effective organisation-wide leadership, setting strategic direction and ensuring alignment across the business. Ensure Centrapay operates as a sustainable and resilient business in both the short and long term. Deliver timely, transparent, and high-quality reporting to Board of Directors. Ultimately, it’s your chance to generate momentum, assemble a talented team, and foster sustained growth for a business designed to succeed over the long term and win. What is the most challenging thing about this opportunity? The most challenging - and simultaneously the most compelling - aspect of this opportunity lies in the breadth and significance of the mandate. Leading Centrapay into its next phase of growth requires not only vision but also the ability to instil discipline, resilience, and robust governance to ensure the company’s long-term sustainability. This role is ideally suited to a CEO who thrives in complex and accountable environments, and who is motivated by the dynamic nature of the payments landscape. What do we want you to know before you apply? Centrapay is a subsidiary of BNZ. The role has a reporting line into BNZ as well as the Centrapay Board of Directors.
