JOB DESCRIPTION

DEPARTMENT: Administrative
JOB TITLE: President/CEO
FLSA class: Exempt/ Full – Time
WAGE SCALE: $100,000.00 to $130,000.00
REPORTS TO: Board of Directors
JOB PURPOSE: Serves as the Chief Executive Officer and provides the overall direction, coordination, operational control, and supervision of all activities and services which enhance the growth and specialization of the Agency, the local community, and funding sources.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE MS/MA in Business Admin or related field, BS/BA with equivalent experience. Minimum of five years senior management experience and equivalent in experience and training.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Guide, train, develop, supervise personnel through motivation and team building. Understand and translate community needs into meaningful, fundable programs and services.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise, control and manage all of the day to day business and affairs of the Corporation.
  • The employment and discharge of such staff as necessary to carry out the corporate purposes.
  • The supervision, implementation and execution of programs and services necessary to effectuate the purposes of the Corporation, as from time to time approved or ratified by the Directors
  • Provide direction and administration of all PCCEO programs as approved by the Board of Directors and the funding agencies.
  • Perform evaluative analysis of the organization and make recommendations to the Board of Directors and funding agencies with regard to the strength and composition of the Agency.
  • As necessary, the President/CEO will revise or amend the Agency’s organizational arrangement and accordingly, implement, initiate, or approve organizational changes. As an end result, the President/CEO shall issue approved organizational charts to all affected constituents and staff.
  • The execution of such documents in connection with his/her activities and duties which are not specifically reserved for action by the Board of Directors or an elected officer of the Corporation.
  • The President/CEO will execute official personnel action affecting the
  • appointment status, assignment, or separation of personnel; assign appropriate job levels in accordance with Agency standards; assign performance ratings on all personnel who are directly supervised by the President/CEO and detect programs that contribute to the upgrading of staff ability, morale, and productivity of all PCCEO.
  • In a dual capacity, the President/CEO will serve as President of the Board of Directors and as a member of the Executive Committee.
  • On all matters concerning policy or affecting the magnitude or the operations of PCCEO, the President/CEO will sign official correspondence to the Board of Directors, the funding agencies, other governmental agencies, and applicable delegated agencies.
  • As the Chief Executive Officer, the President/CEO will represent the PCCEO, or designate an official representative, in all matters relating to the operation of PCCEO: to include contacts with funding or other interested agencies which affect the activities of PCCEO, or its goals and objectives.
  • The President/CEO will exercise statutory controls relating to fiscal documents of PCCEO operations and objectives.
  • The President /CEO will exercise overall control of PCCEO staff.
  • The President /CEO will coordinate PCCEO staff input with relationship to the PCCEO Board of Directors.

  • Must have and maintain a valid Illinois Driver’s license, reliable transportation and insurance as required by the State of Illinois.
