OVERVIEW

The Chowchilla Madera County Fair is actively seeking a visionary and driven Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to usher in a new era of growth for our cherished community cornerstone. This exceptional leader will develop the event centers’ potential and increase its visibility. The CEO will champion community engagement, cultivate agricultural education, showcase regional talent, and deliver unforgettable experiences that will shape the future and secure vital resources for this valued hub of the Central Valley and the Golden State.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in event production and/or business management and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. As the CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our operations, the facility ,Capital Campaigns , the Annual Fair, event rentals , resource development , driving growth, and ensuring the company remains competitive in the marketplace. This organization is a 501c3 Non profit.

EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience in business management with a strong emphasis on strategic planning.
• Experience in Event Management and within the Fairs, Shows and Expositions industry is also very desirable. A basic understanding of production agriculture is helpful.
• Demonstrated success in senior leadership roles, showcasing effective management and supervising experience.
• Strong background in business development with a track record of driving growth initiatives.
• Expertise in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Knowledge and experience in developing and implementing marketing plans and strategies.

• Lead business development initiatives to identify new market opportunities and enhance existing partnerships.
• The new CEO will be expected to expand the access and use of the facilities throughout the year using an entrepreneurial approach.
• Implement strategic plans that align with the company’s mission, vision and goals.
• Provide senior leadership and direction to a small staff , fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Oversee financial management, ensuring the organization operates within budget while maximizing profitability.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including board members, event participants, clients and Community leaders.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements across all operations.
• Monitor Fairs and Expositions industry trends and adapt strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
• Lead and inspire team members and stakeholders providing guidance and support to produce an innovative and dynamic annual County Fair , other events and an expanded event center.
