Your new opportunity The Co-Op is embarking on a new chapter and are seeking a dynamic and commercially savvy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organisation forward. This role offers a rare opportunity to shape the future of a member-based organisation that is critical to the local seafood industry and regional communities. You’ll bring strategic clarity, operational discipline, and a people-first mindset to help the Co-Op thrive. As CEO, you’ll work closely with the Board and lead the team across all sites, ensuring the delivery of its strategic goals, member value, and long-term sustainability. What you'll do Deliver on the Board’s strategic plan, financial objectives, and KPIs Identify and implement new revenue opportunities and growth strategies Lead the day-to-day operations and compliance across multiple locations Build and lead a high-performing team with a positive workplace culture Strengthen member engagement and stakeholder relationships Oversee financial performance, reporting, and risk management Drive marketing, branding and community impact initiatives Monitor asset utilisation and operational viability across all sites What you'll bring Proven success in a similar senior leadership role Strong financial acumen and experience managing operational budgets Experience in strategic planning, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement Vision and capability to grow revenue and strengthen brand presence A hands-on and proactive leadership style with a collaborative mindset Experience in retail, FMCG, agriculture, seafood or co-operative sectors (advantageous but not essential) What’s on offer A competitive and negotiable salary package will be offered, aligned with your qualifications and experience.
