CHARITY OVERVIEW:

Ignite Life is a UK charity established in 2019 that supports young people in Bristol and the UK through mentoring, counselling and associated services.

SUMMARY:

The charity is now seeking to appoint a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to build on the excellent work of the outgoing CEO. The suitable candidate will provide dynamic leadership, direction and innovation to Ignite Life, enabling the achievement of its strategic aims and objectives. The CEO will spearhead fundraising and new strategic initiatives, in conjunction with the staff (paid and unpaid) and Trustees, to enable Ignite Life to identify and action new opportunities that will drive the organisation forward in an increasingly competitive environment, all the time being led by the needs of young people.
The successful candidate will be an ambassador for both the organisation and young people, cultivating positive relationships across a broad range of stakeholders and increasing the profile and impact of Ignite Life. The activities of the charity are currently focused in Bristol and, in particular, the Kingswood area. There will be an expectation that the successful candidate will be on-site in Kingswood area.
The new CEO will have a high degree of empathy and emotional intelligence to lead a dedicated and highly motivated team. They will have proven leadership and management experience in the delivery of an organisation’s strategy and demonstrable success in managing growth. The individual will be knowledgeable about UK Charity governance and sustainable financial management.
The post holder will have excellent communication skills and the ability to use their own initiative, prioritise their workload and work to tight deadlines. You will be a forward thinking, committed and passionate individual with a true belief in the ethos of the charity and the services they offer.
