For this appointment we are seeking a strategic Executive Leader with a genuine passion for improving community outcomes. They will have a track record in developing strong commercial outcomes in the Human Services space. In addition, the successful candidate will have;

  • Exceptional Leadership and an Entrepreneurial Mindset:
  • Possess outstanding leadership skills to build and lead senior management teams.
  • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset with exceptional leadership skills, able to lead by example.
  • Change Management Skills and Strategic Thinking:
  • Proven track record in successful organisational change management.
  • Highly developed strategic thinking, planning, and analytical skills.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Building and Sector Knowledge:
  • Demonstrate effective relationship building with internal and external stakeholders, including government entities.
  • Extensive knowledge of the community services sector.
  • Financial Acumen and Communication Skills:
  • Extensive experience in identifying and applying for financial grants with associated reporting.
  • Ability to lead a large workforce, coupled with strong relationships among executives.
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance, performance management principles, corporate governance, and general management best practices.
  • Experience working effectively with a Board of Directors.
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial and Operational Oversight:
  • Ensure sound financial management in alignment with the organisational mission.
  • Monitor and address operational budget issues promptly.
  • Human Resources and Performance Culture:
  • Lead workforce planning and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Governance, Strategy, and Communication:
  • Ensure compliance, implement corrective actions, and maintain transparency.
  • Define and operationalise strategic direction in collaboration with the Board.
  • Foster collaborative relationships internally and externally.
  • Cultural Improvement:
  • Lead cultural development for a high-performing work environment.
  • Grow the community brand and reputation of Creating Links.
  • Identify and address work health and safety activities and issues
