Industry: Real Estate Development Level: Executive Director / Board-Level About Company: A leading real estate development group in Lagos. The Company is seeking a world-class Chief Financial & Investment Officer (CFIO) to drive its financial strategy, institutional investment growth, and long-term capital architecture. This is a high-impact executive role for a visionary leader who has successfully shaped financial ecosystems, raised significant capital, and built scalable investment platforms within complex, fast-growing organizations. The CFIO will serve as both the financial steward and investment architect of the Group—providing strategic leadership across capital markets, investment product development, governance, risk, and enterprise value creation. This role is positioned on a clear succession path to become the pioneer Managing Director of the investment subsidiary and ultimately the Group CEO. The ideal candidate is a high-caliber finance and investment executive with a proven ability to design and scale sophisticated capital ecosystems. Key Responsibilities includes but not limited to the following; § Lead the development and execution of the Group’s capital strategy, including liquidity planning, financing optimization, and institutional capital formation. § Originate, structure, and negotiate complex financing across equity, debt, mezzanine, quasi-equity, PPPs, and JV arrangements. § Architect and manage the company’s investment products—rental portfolios, housing funds, co-investment schemes, and structured real estate vehicles. § Oversee all financial operations, governance, IFRS reporting, treasury, budgeting, and internal controls. § Lead development finance activities, ensure project financial viability, and manage lender/investor reporting for large-scale developments. § Provide strategic counsel to the Executive Chairman and Board; guide corporate strategy, diversification, and capital market positioning. § Build and manage relationships with banks, DFIs, private equity firms, JV partners, and institutional investors. § Champion technology adoption—ERP, MIS, analytics, and prop-tech integrations to drive financial and operational efficiency. Requirements § Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. § Professional certification: CFA, ACCA, or ICAN (CFA strongly preferred). § Minimum 15 years’ senior leadership experience in finance, investment, capital markets, or real estate development. § Demonstrated success raising ₦5bn+ capital or equivalent for large-scale projects. § Strong track record in structuring investment products, JV deals, and development financing. § Advanced financial modelling, valuation, capital markets, and investment structuring expertise. § Board-level exposure and experience presenting to Finance, Audit, and Investment Committees.
