Role Overview We are looking for a strategic, commercially minded Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Consultant to advise and strengthen the financial operations of Success Tutoring on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a CFO with franchisor experience, ideally within the education sector, who understands the financial architecture required to scale a global franchise system. Experience with VC funding, capital raising and (preferably public company/IPO environments in Australia and/or the USA is highly desirable). You will work directly with the CEO and executive team to build robust financial systems, improve profitability and support international growth. This is a consultancy-based role with flexible hours. Financial Strategy & Leadership Shape and refine financial strategy aligned with global expansion. Advise on capital structure, funding pathways and investment readiness. Build systems to be implemented by the accounts team. Franchise Finance & Unit Economics Build and optimise financial models for franchise performance, royalties, CAC/LTV, and forecasting. Establish financial KPIs, dashboards and controls for network-wide performance. Analyse franchisee P&Ls and drive strategies to increase profitability. Executive Support Advise the CEO and leadership team on key financial decisions. Participate in weekly executive and strategy meetings. Support M&A activity, international structuring and high-level commercial negotiations. Capital Raising & Investor Relations Prepare the business for strategic investment. Support investor presentations, due diligence and financial storytelling. Advise on valuation, equity structures and governance requirements. Systems, Compliance & Governance Design and implement robust financial systems for reporting, auditing and compliance. Ensure best-practice governance aligned with Australian and US franchising regulations. Strengthen internal controls, documentation standards and audit readiness. Build scalable processes for multi-entity, multi-country finance operations. Type & Structure Consultant / Contractor role ~2–8 hours per week Remote work with flexibility Weekly CEO check-ins, reporting meetings and strategy calls Compensation $120–$250 per hour (depending on experience) Retainer structure aligned to monthly hours Why Join Us?
