Position: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location: This role is a hybrid role in the Greater Toronto/Halton Region
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Direct Reports: Controllers across Canada and International Operations

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • CPA designation required; MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive finance leadership, with proven experience in multinational operations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in corporate governance, strategic planning, and fundraising initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills across executive teams.
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, accounting systems, and global compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel overseas, potentially 1-2 times per year.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive global financial strategy, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and actionable insight across all markets.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of controllers in Canada, Global Markets, fostering collaboration and high performance.
  • Partner with the CEO and executive leadership to shape strategic initiatives, including innovation, operational efficiency, and capital allocation.
  • Implement and oversee internal controls, company-wide policies, and risk management frameworks.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling to provide clear insight for business decisions and Board reporting.
  • Oversee cash management, banking relationships, credit facilities, and insurance risk.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology and process improvements to drive efficiency and scalability.
