OVERVIEW:

Reports to the CEO and Executive Chairman, providing strategic leadership and financial oversight to support the operations at UP Vertical Farms. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team. This critical leadership position requires a combination of strong financial expertise and strategic vision. The ideal candidate will oversee financial operations, drive the company’s financial strategy, and ensure regulatory compliance while contributing to the organization’s growth and long-term success.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • CPA with proven experience within a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, corporate finance, and financial services.
  • Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, account reconciliation, and risk management practices.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract negotiations.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities with strong analytical skills to interpret complex financial data.
  • Effective leadership skills with experience in managing diverse teams and driving performance improvements.
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; CPA certification is required.

    Pay: $75,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

  • Lead risk management efforts to identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Execute all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, bookkeeping, and account reconciliation.

  • Prepare accurate financial reports for the company, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic plans.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms for the organization.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support sales initiatives and enhance overall business performance.
