CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO)

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Responsibilities

  • Oversee all finance and accounting functions, ensuring compliance with internal controls, procedures, and grant regulations.
  • Develop and revise policies, procedures, and systems to align with organizational goals and government regulations.
  • Manage grant preparation, submission, and reporting, ensuring compliance and effective communication with relevant agencies.
  • Direct financial reporting, audits, and year-end tasks, including oversight of IRS tax exemption forms and annual audits.
  • Supervise finance team, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and handling disciplinary actions.

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of financial leadership experience and grant/fund accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, UGG, and federal/state/local grant regulations.
  • Proven ability to interpret and present financial reports, legal documents, and regulations to senior management and boards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, database software, and video conferencing platforms.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
