York Care Centre is our long-term care home, serving 218 residents. Our research company, the Centre for Innovation and Research in Aging, engages in projects with partnerships from across Canada. And our senior’s housing portfolio, York Developments, includes a mix of independent and assisted-living options for seniors. We also operate The York Care Foundation, leading fund-raising efforts on behalf of York Care Centre.
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for effective and efficient management of all financial resources, programs, resident trust accounts, and conservation of the assets of the York Group of Companies.

• Oversee the day to day accounting functions of the company;
• Prepare annual budgets for the York Group of Companies with assistance from the General Accountant;
• Ensure monitoring and analysis of the overall budget and assist each Manager with the control of expenditures;
• Provide supervision, support and management of the finance department;
• Prepare and present monthly financial statements and key performance indicator reports for various entities in a timely manner;
• Develop and maintain financial management policies, systems and processes and identify opportunities for improved efficiencies;
• Participate in leadership team meetings;
• Interact with internal and external stakeholders and clients.
