Join DayOne – Shaping the Future of Data Infrastructure DayOne is a global leader in the development and operation of high-performance data centers. As one of the fastest-growing companies in the industry, we’ve built a robust presence across Asia and Europe — and we’re just getting started. As we expand into new international markets, we’re looking for talented, driven individuals to join us on this exciting journey. This is more than a job — it’s an opportunity to be a key contributor to our dynamic team and help shape the future of global data infrastructure. If you're passionate about innovation, technology, and growth, we invite you to be part of DayOne’s next chapter. Role Overview The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead DayOne’s financial, strategic, and capital‑market functions as the company prepares for hyperscale expansion. This executive will focus on capital strategy, corporate strategy and investor relations while providing strategic oversight of global finance. The role is supported by a Deputy CFO who oversees day‑to‑day finance operations, ensuring accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, and regional finance functions run smoothly so the CFO can remain focused on long‑term strategy and value creation. Key Responsibilities 1. Capital Strategy Develop and execute DayOne’s capital strategy—including equity/debt financing, capital allocation frameworks, and capital structure optimization—to fund hyperscale expansion. Lead all IPO‑readiness efforts by upgrading financial reporting capabilities and ensuring GAAP/IFRS compliance, audit‑ready processes, and Sarbanes‑Oxley‑ready internal controls. 2. Financial Operations & Systems Provide strategic direction and oversight of global finance while partnering closely with the Deputy CFO, who manages daily financial operations (accounting, treasury, FP&A, tax). Strengthen financial operations to ensure accuracy, transparency, and efficiency across the organization. Implement scalable financial systems that enable timely reporting, analytics, and high‑quality decision-making. Act as a strategic partner to the Chief Commercial Officer (or their equivalent) on commercial ROI, pricing models, supply chain monetization, and build‑vs‑lease economics. 3. Investor Relations Lead the investor relations strategy, sharing DayOne’s financial performance, growth story, and long‑term vision with current and prospective investors. Build market credibility through transparent, consistent communication. 4. Board Reporting & Strategic Advisory Serve as the primary liaison to the Board on financial strategy and performance. Provide clear, data‑driven financial insights to support strategic decisions. Advise on financial strategy, risk management, and value‑creation opportunities. 5. Regional Finance Enablement Build and operationalize regional finance capabilities, including regional finance leadership roles. Ensure local compliance, cash‑flow visibility, and disciplined cost control while aligning with HQ standards. Enable faster site‑level decisions through delegated authority and localized financial planning. 6. Internal Controls & Compliance Establish rigorous internal controls and risk management frameworks to protect company assets and meet regulatory requirements. Drive audit readiness, policy compliance, and governance structures required for a public‑company environment. Strategic Expansion Responsibilities 7. Strategic Planning & Business Insights Lead DayOne’s long‑term corporate strategy, leveraging market intelligence and analytics to identify trends and opportunities. Translate insights into actionable strategic priorities and multi‑year plans that position DayOne for sustained growth. 8. Mergers, Acquisitions & Strategic Investments Identify and evaluate strategic growth opportunities—including JVs, acquisitions, and major investments. Oversee deal execution, financial modeling, due diligence, and post‑merger integration to ensure value creation. 9. Capacity Planning & Capital Allocation Lead global capacity planning, forecasting demand with operations and sales to ensure timely development of new data center capacity. Direct capital allocation, prioritizing expansion projects with strong long‑term ROI and strategic alignment. 10. Strategic Partnerships & Market Expansion Drive the formation of strategic partnerships (cloud providers, carriers, enterprises, etc.) to broaden DayOne’s ecosystem and accelerate market expansion. 11. Strategic Initiatives & Governance Champion key initiatives—including new product lines and hyperscale innovation programs—ensuring they are properly resourced and executed. Establish governance mechanisms, KPIs, dashboards, and review processes to track strategic execution and drive course corrections. DayOne is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
