As Chief Financial Officer, you will be the strategic link between financial planning and day-to-day operations. You’ll analyze our business needs, optimize financial processes, and ensure that the resources are used efficiently. You are part of the leadership team and directly report to the CEO.
Taskbase is transforming how we learn and teach in the era of AI. With a scalable B2B AI as a service approach, we help publishers and learning platforms engage learners and maximize learning efficiency.

Tasks

• Implement the financial strategy in alignment with company goals, including participation in funding rounds
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and the tracking of key financial performance indicators (KPIs)
• Manage accounting operations and continuously improve financial and controlling processes
• Monitor cash flow and ensure liquidity at all times
• Ensure accurate bookkeeping, timely annual financial statements, and compliance with Swiss tax and regulatory requirements
• Liaise with auditors, tax and legal advisors, and regulators to ensure compliance and strong external partnerships.
• Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Directors and shareholders
• Oversee and help shape our total compensation framework, from payroll to salary models and equity (ESOP).

Requirements

• A degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or a related field (e.g. MBA, CPA, CFA).
• Several years of experience in a senior finance leadership role—ideally as CFO and preferably within a fast-growing company or SME environment. We also warmly welcome candidates with a background as Head of Finance or Head of Controlling who are ready to take the next step in their career.
• Excellent communication skills across all stakeholder groups, with fluency in English required. Proficiency in German is a big plus.
• High adaptability and comfort working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
