CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO) Job Responsibilities Lead the development and presentation of annual budgets and strategic financial plans across the group by aligning with business units, operational clusters, and corporate leadership. Ensure the integrity and timeliness of financial reporting by overseeing the accurate capture of revenue, expenditure, and contractual financial data to support executive decision-making. Drive compliance and governance by managing statutory obligations, tax planning, and audit processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks and safeguarding stakeholder interests. Strengthen financial controls and risk management by continuously enhancing internal systems, procedures, and contingency frameworks to prevent malpractice and ensure operational resilience. Optimize working capital and liquidity through effective treasury management, debt monitoring, and strategic settlement of liabilities across the group. Oversee credit risk and receivables by enforcing group-wide credit policies, evaluating customer creditworthiness, and improving cash flow through disciplined collections. Build strategic financial partnerships by negotiating favorable terms with banks, financial institutions, and service providers to reduce costs and enhance financial flexibility. Lead and develop high-performing finance teams by fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and professional growth to elevate organizational capability. Candidate Profile Professional accounting qualifications such as ACA, ACCA (UK), or CIMA (UK). Strong expertise in IFRS and IAS, with hands-on experience in applying international financial reporting standards. Proven track record in corporate finance, strategic financial planning, treasury operations, and enterprise risk management. Comprehensive knowledge of taxation, regulatory compliance, and financial governance frameworks relevant to both Maldives and international jurisdictions. Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and performance management across multi-sector business units. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and advanced skills in Microsoft Office tools for financial analysis and reporting. Familiarity with cross-border financial operations, foreign exchange risk management, and group-level financial consolidation. Exceptional analytical, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence strategic decisions at Board level.
