Position Summary The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is the strategic financial leader of a leading insurance organization in Abu Dhabi. This role is responsible for financial strategy, capital management, regulatory compliance, and investor/stakeholder relations, ensuring sustainable growth and long-term value creation. The CFO combines deep financial expertise with strategic foresight, driving operational efficiency, digital transformation, and governance excellence. This role is pivotal in shaping financial policy, strengthening internal controls, and ensuring compliance with UAE Central Bank and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership and Financial Stewardship • Formulate and execute the company’s long-term financial strategy, aligned with business objectives and growth ambitions • Drive value creation through disciplined capital allocation, profit optimization, and investment planning • Advise CEO and Board of Directors on strategic decisions, business performance, and financial implications • Lead initiatives in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management Regulatory Compliance and Governance • Ensure full compliance with Central Bank of UAE and other applicable insurance regulations • Oversee preparation of IFRS 17-compliant financial statements with accuracy, transparency, and timeliness • Manage relationships with auditors, regulators, and external advisors to maintain governance credibility • Provide insights to the Board on risk, solvency, and financial stability matters Operational Excellence and Digital Transformation • Lead finance transformation, implementing automation, ERP, and AI-based analytics to enhance reporting and efficiency • Manage working capital, liquidity, and cost, balancing profitability and risk • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial systems aligned with InsurTech and digital initiatives Treasury, Investment and Risk Management • Oversee treasury operations, banking relationships, and investment portfolios • Establish controls for asset-liability management, FX exposure, and reinsurance settlements • Support M&A, restructuring, and corporate projects with robust financial modeling and due diligence • Minimum 15+ years of progressive finance leadership, including 5+ years in a CFO/Deputy CFO role in insurance/reinsurance • Industry Expertise: Proficient in insurance accounting, IFRS 17, solvency frameworks, reinsurance, and regulatory compliance • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration • Certifications: CPA, ACCA, ACA, or CMA • Leadership Experience: Proven record of managing finance functions and teams in large or complex insurance organisations Skills and Competencies • Ability to convert financial insights into strategic decisions • Strong understanding of UAE corporate and insurance laws • Capable of mentoring multicultural teams across multiple entities • Excellent Board, stakeholder, and regulator engagement skills • Upholds highest ethical and fiduciary standards Compensation and Benefits • Executive Package: Competitive monthly salary aligned with UAE market standards • Benefits include family medical insurance, annual flight allowance, performance incentives, and end-of-service gratuity
