JOB DESCRIPTION

Okanagan Specialty Fruits Inc. (OSF) is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) that will be responsible for managing the company’s financial health and strategic direction. Their responsibilities will include overseeing financial operations, developing financial strategies, managing risk, and ensuring financial compliance. The CFO will play a critical role in guiding financial decisions, analyzing performance, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • A university degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related discipline; a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) is an asset
  • Accreditation from provincial or territorial accounting body as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
  • 10 or more years of experience in leadership positions within a company’s financial department
  • Exceptional ability to monitor, allocate, and control finances on a large scale
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong work ethic, leadership and managerial skills
  • In-depth knowledge of finance and accounting
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications; Business Central, MS Word, and Excel as well as Power BI
  • In-depth experience working with or the implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System
  • Ability to present financial analysis and projections to company stakeholders
  • Proven experience reading complex financial reports and communicating them to stakeholders in easy-to-understand terms
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and Canadian GAAP
  • Experience with public company reporting obligations is an asset
