This role offers the opportunity to provide senior financial leadership that supports the financial strength and sustainability of a Line of Business within a complex healthcare environment.   The Role The LOB CFO provides strategic and financial leadership to ensure the financial strength of the Line of Business within the assigned region. The CFO provides leadership in developing short‑ and long‑term strategic financial plans and identifying new growth opportunities. This position has oversight responsibility for operational and financial performance, including operating margin budgets, capital planning, revenue integrity and optimization, and physician compensation. The role partners with regional and LOB executive leadership teams to strategically plan for financial success.   What You’ll Do * Oversee development of the budget and integrated strategic financial plan for medical and physician groups, including volumes, revenues, and expenses. * Review and report on monthly financial statements and variances for divisions. * Identify opportunities and make recommendations for productivity improvements, cost savings, and revenue enhancement initiatives. * Develop and maintain benchmarks for financial and operational performance. * Analyze and review monthly results for risk contracts against annual plans and forecasts. * Develop, propose, and participate on negotiation teams related to physician compensation arrangements, as applicable. * Oversee the timely and accurate implementation of physician compensation programs and arrangements, including payments to physicians; respond to and address compensation questions and reporting. * Represent medical groups and physician services on committees and councils, as appropriate. * Oversee and coordinate development of pro formas and projections for business ventures and partnerships; propose operational changes and strategies to support decision‑making and budgeting. * Assist the Regional CFO in working with matrixed shared services functions to drive strategies in areas such as revenue cycle (including coding, audit, and education), physician and professional revenue optimization, supply chain (REH), system physician compensation programs, and payer contracting. * Lead and oversee physician coding audits, education, and revenue integrity activities across service areas and geographies, as applicable. * Exercise signature authority on appropriate documents and, in concert with state and/or federal organizations, bind PSJH in accordance with the system authority matrix.   What You’ll Bring * Education * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business‑related field. * Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business‑related field (preferred). * Certification * Certified Public Accountant (CPA) upon hire (preferred). * Experience * Ten (10) or more years of closely related experience. * Ten (10) or more years of experience in a leadership role or capacity. * Financial & Analytical Skills * Ability to use mathematical methods or formulas to solve problems. * Ability to analyze and interpret financial data. * Ability to evaluate information, choose appropriate solutions, and solve problems. * Demonstrated problem solving skills. * Knowledge of financial principles and practices and the ability to apply them effectively. * Communication & Interpersonal * Effective written communication skills appropriate for the needs of the audience. * Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations, live and via online or virtual formats. * Excellent collaboration and team building skills. * Effective conflict management skills. * Ability to build relationships with customers, executive management, and other stakeholders through positive interaction and problem identification and resolution. * Healthcare Knowledge * Broad knowledge and understanding of trends and changes in healthcare. * Understanding of local integrated delivery systems within a large, multi-site health system. * Decision Making & Organizational Skills * Ability to represent the organization with external customers and clients. * Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure. * Demonstrates excellent judgment and decision making skills. * Excellent organizational skills. * Ability to exercise sound judgment based on accurate and timely analysis. * Productivity * Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines. * Ability to drive multiple projects to successful completion. * Ability to prioritize responsibilities and organize workload to meet deadlines. * Demonstrated ability to define, develop, and analyze performance measures and metrics. * Project Management * Demonstrated project management skills. * Demonstrated planning and project oversight skills. * Demonstrated ability to design and implement project plans, direct projects, coordinate operational teams, and manage project budgets. * Effectively manages project deadlines and escalates issues as appropriate. * Technical / Mechanical * Working knowledge of desktop software applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Internet, Email). * Knowledge of basic office practices, procedures, machines, and equipment. * Demonstrated working knowledge of spreadsheet, database, word processing, and desktop publishing software. * Knowledge of health information technology used to improve care (e.g., electronic medical records, disease registries, websites, IVR).   Why Join Us?
