Description

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Establish robust financial governance and oversee business unit’s accounting activities in accordance with policies and procedures for the issuance of financial statements and other reports as required, providing clear visibility on plans and business performance.
  • Create and run a clear budget process in Indonesia in alignment with shareholders’ expectations. Build trust with stakeholders.
  • Plan and manage financial strategy and finances. Develop risk management strategies that minimise/mitigate Company’s exposure.
  • Consolidate capital assets, maintenance and organisation operating budgets, check appropriate requests against approved budgets for availability of funds prior to commitment, and exercise accounting control to ensure that budgeted expenditures do not exceed amount authorised.
  • Review and interpret business performance and operating results against short-term and long-term budgets and targets, and make specific recommendations on cost-reduction and profit-improvement. Ensure good corporate governance and compliance;
  • Direct the preparation of periodic and yearly international financial statements, including the preparation of charts and graphs showing business unit’s progress, conditions and results in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Oversee the procurement function to ensure cost-effective sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier management in alignment with business goals and governance requirements.
  • Ensure HR policies and workforce strategies align with business needs, fostering talent development, organizational effectiveness, and compliance with labour regulations.
  • Provide inputs to shareholders in the development of major objectives and policies, in the review of plans and the development of appropriate financial controls and reports.
  • Interface with corporate auditors and tax authorities as necessary, in business unit’s tax compliance, labor law compliance, local accounting standards and other administrative matters.
  • Provide relevant insights and strategy towards value growth and creation for business unit
  • Build and develop staff to create a strong finance and HR community.
  • Collaborate with and support Regional HQ to advance PSA’s projects in Indonesia.
  • Represent PSA in fronting projects and key stakeholder engagements.
  • Possess a degree in Accountancy/Business. Preference will be given to candidates with an MBA in Finance and the CPA or CMA designations.
  • At least 15 years of relevant working experience with minimum 8 years of excellent track record with supervisory & finance management for a multi-national company or division of a large corporation.
  • Experience working in a joint-venture will be an advantage
  • Good knowledge of international general accounting principles and policies, local tax and labour regulations.
  • Proficient in IT skills, especially with spreadsheet and database applications.
  • Ability to multi-task, has initiative and excellent analytical skills
  • Independent yet a team player, meticulous and hands-on with demonstrated maturity
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and spoken English
  • Only those currently working in Indonesia or willing to relocate to Indonesia as a local hire can apply
Responsibilities

Overall responsibility for the financial function of the business unit in Indonesia and support Indonesian expansion plans.
