Position Overview: The Chief Finance Officer (CFO) is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and overseeing all financial operations of Spirit’s business units. This is an executive role that ensures financial stability, drives financial performance, and supports Spirit’s growth objectives. The ideal CFO candidate will have extensive financial management experience with a track record in strategic financial leadership and a demonstrated ability to drive financial performance while ensuring industry compliance. The CFO will support executive collaboration and strategy and head the Finance department at Spirit. Essential Job Functions: Develop and execute Spirit’s long-term financial strategy in alignment with business goals Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, treasury, tax, and financial planning and analysis Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements Manage relationships with banks, investors, and financial institutions Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making Oversee risk management and internal control systems Lead mergers and acquisitions activities from a financial perspective Collaborate with other C-suite executives to drive business performance Ensure financial systems and processes support business needs Manage the finance team, developing talent and fostering a high-performance culture Represent Spirit to external stakeholders on financial matters Requirements Requirements: 15-20 years of progressive experience in finance, with 10 years in a senior leadership role Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration; CPA strongly preferred Extensive experience in financial management within the aerospace and defense industry or similarly complex manufacturing environments Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills In-depth knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements Strong understanding of government contracting and related financial implications Deep understanding of financial reporting, compliance, and risk management Proven track record of strategic planning driving financial performance and strategic initiatives Experience with advanced financial modeling, ERP systems, and data analytics tools Knowledge of mergers and acquisitions process and integration Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex financial information to diverse audiences Visionary with strategic mindset and strong business acumen Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive strategic processes and improvements Strategic thinking with proactive approach
