nexHub powers the technology operations for nexmin Ltd, a 24/7 online food and grocery delivery platform operating in the UK and Europe. Our systems handle high-volume transactions, sensitive customer data, and real-time logistics — which makes security and compliance absolutely critical.
We are seeking an experienced Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) on a contract basis to design and lead our cybersecurity strategy specifically tailored to an online food and grocery delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement nexHub’s cybersecurity strategy and framework for a fast-scaling delivery business.
• Oversee risk management, data security, and compliance with UK GDPR, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and industry standards.
• Protect sensitive customer, partner, and transaction data across web and mobile platforms.
• Ensure secure cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) and monitor real-time systems.
• Build and maintain incident response, fraud prevention, and disaster recovery protocols.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and technology teams to ensure a security-first approach in all business areas.
• Act as the key security advisor to senior management and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CISO, Head of Cybersecurity, or senior security leader.
• Background in e-commerce, online delivery, or similar high-volume digital business is highly desirable.
• Deep knowledge of transactional system security, cloud security, and compliance frameworks.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer preferred.
• Strong leadership and ability to communicate security priorities across technical and non-technical teams.

Contract Details

• Type: Freelance / Contract (outside IR35 expected)
• Location: Hybrid – with some office presence in London
• Pay: Competitive London contract market rates (day or week-based)
• Duration: Initial 6 months, with potential extension
