This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in the United States. As the CISO, you will lead the organization’s enterprise information security strategy, protecting digital assets, data, and technology infrastructure against cyber threats while ensuring regulatory compliance. You will oversee security operations, risk management, governance, and incident response, shaping a resilient security posture that enables business innovation. This role requires strategic vision, technical expertise, and strong leadership to align security initiatives with business goals, support digital transformation, and influence organizational priorities. You will collaborate with executive leadership, IT teams, and business stakeholders, ensuring security becomes a business enabler rather than a barrier. This position provides an opportunity to lead a high-performing, global security organization and define the company’s approach to cybersecurity in a complex, rapidly evolving environment. Accountabilities Define and execute the enterprise information security strategy aligned with business objectives, risk tolerance, and digital transformation initiatives. Lead comprehensive security programs, including cyber defense, identity and access management, threat intelligence, and data protection. Conduct organization-wide risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and prioritize remediation to reduce risk exposure. Oversee security operations, incident detection, response, and recovery, minimizing business disruption. Manage compliance with industry standards and regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, FERPA, SOC 2, and ISO 27001. Partner with business, product, and IT teams to integrate security into development processes and technology initiatives. Lead and develop a global security team, establishing training programs, career paths, and a culture of accountability and innovation. Serve as a trusted advisor to executives and the board, translating technical security risks into business impact and recommendations. 15+ years of progressive leadership in information security, cybersecurity, or risk management, with 5+ years in senior director, VP, or CISO roles. Proven experience developing and implementing enterprise security programs in global, complex organizations. Deep knowledge of information security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls) and risk management practices. Expertise with security technologies including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEMs, IAM, cloud security, and encryption protocols. Experience with data privacy regulations and compliance audits. Proven ability to secure cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and implement cloud-native security architectures. Strong leadership skills with experience managing high-performing, distributed security teams across multiple disciplines and geographies. Exceptional communication and business acumen, with the ability to influence executive and board-level stakeholders. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA strongly preferred. Familiarity with DevSecOps, secure software development, ethical hacking, penetration testing, and AI/ML security applications is a plus. Competitive salary range: $250,200 – $308,000 USD annually.
