Description
Overview: The Chief Inspector ensures the highest standards of aircraft airworthiness and maintenance quality across Global X Airlines. This role leads quality assurance functions, oversees regulatory compliance, and maintains operational excellence through inspection oversight, process management, and FAA coordination. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee all aircraft airworthiness and inspection programs. * Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and documentation for maintenance and quality operations. * Approve aircraft additions/removals from OpSpecs after conformity checks. * Ensure maintenance personnel are properly trained, authorized, and compliant with FAA regulations. * Oversee airworthiness release, logbook entry, and RII (Required Inspection Item) processes. * Manage MEL (Minimum Equipment List), AMP (Aircraft Maintenance Program), and CASS programs. * Approve and audit Essential Maintenance Providers and vendors. * Evaluate technical procedures for effectiveness and ensure FAA regulatory compliance. * Lead the Quality Department and supervise inspection and quality assurance functions. Qualifications: * FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate, held for a minimum of 3 years. * At least 3 years of large-aircraft maintenance experience (10+ passenger seats), including 1 year as a maintenance inspector. * Strong knowledge of FAA regulations (14 CFR Parts 1, 21, 39, 43, 65, 91, and 121). * Proven leadership in aviation maintenance, safety standards, and compliance. * Excellent communication, decision-making, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
The Chief Inspector oversees all aircraft airworthiness and inspection programs, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations. This role also leads the Quality Department and manages various maintenance programs and personnel training.
