This is not a traditional, office-bound executive role focused solely on SEO dashboards and digital metrics. Position Overview The Chief Marketing Officer will develop and lead an integrated marketing and business development strategy that combines: Digital marketing & SEO performance Referral source development Medical provider and attorney relationship building Community visibility Brand positioning Vendor oversight ROI accountability This leader will operate both strategically and tactically — setting vision while personally driving execution. This role is in-person in Tampa, Florida and requires frequent travel throughout the Tampa Bay region. Core Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Develop and execute annual marketing & BD strategy Build scalable systems for sustainable growth Establish measurable KPIs and ROI tracking across all channels Manage and optimize marketing budget Digital & Brand Oversight Oversee SEO, PPC, website optimization, and content strategy Supervise outside marketing vendors and agencies Ensure brand consistency across all platforms Lead analytics review and performance reporting Referral & Relationship Development (Critical Function) Build and maintain strong referral pipelines Develop relationships with medical providers, attorneys, and strategic partners Attend networking events, bar functions, community events, and industry gatherings Serve as a visible ambassador of the firm Community Engagement Lead local sponsorship strategy Coordinate community outreach initiatives Identify high-impact visibility opportunities in Tampa Bay Represent the firm at events regularly Internal Leadership Collaborate closely with ownership and operations Align marketing efforts with firm culture and values Build and mentor marketing support staff as needed Requirements What We Are Looking For Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing (Required) 7+ years of marketing leadership experience Prior legal industry marketing experience strongly preferred Deep knowledge of the Tampa Bay market Strong network and comfort in face-to-face relationship building Demonstrated success in both digital marketing and referral development Data-driven mindset with strong financial acumen High ownership mentality — accountable for results Who Will Thrive Here Builders, not maintainers Leaders who prefer being in the field as much as in strategy sessions Professionals energized by community presence Individuals comfortable representing a brand publicly Marketers who understand that relationships drive revenue Compensation Competitive executive-level compensation package including: Base salary Performance incentives Growth opportunity tied to firm expansion Work Environment In-person role based in Tampa, FL Frequent travel throughout Tampa Bay High autonomy, high accountability Growth-oriented, values-driven culture To Be Considered For This Role: Submit: Resume Cover letter outlining your Tampa Bay market experience Number of client referrals your work has generated in the past 12 months.
