JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Surgery Strategy & Marketing Leader, International will play a critical leadership role in shaping and executing the strategic and marketing roadmap for the Surgery business across the International Region (Europe, Middle East, Africa, Latin America, India, Japan, and AKA). As a key member of the International Surgery leadership team, this individual will work closely with the General Manager and cross-functional stakeholders to drive commercial success, market relevance, and long-term growth.
This role leads the regional marketing function and collaborates across Product Management, Sales, Service, Channel, Clinical, and Regulatory teams. A strong partnership with the Clinical Marketing team is essential, working in lockstep to ensure cohesive strategy, impactful messaging, and aligned execution across the portfolio. The role requires a strong commercial mindset, strategic agility, and the ability to translate vision into measurable impact.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Significant experience in healthcare strategy, marketing, or commercial leadership.
  • Proven track record in leading complex strategic initiatives across diverse geographies.
  • Strong commercial mindset with experience designing, executing, and monitoring strategic plans.
  • Demonstrated success in integrating NPIs and managing product lifecycles.
  • Experience building and leading high-performing marketing teams, with a focus on execution, innovation, and team development.
  • Proven ability to lead people both directly and indirectly; recognized as an excellent coach and mentor who develops talent and builds high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of surgical technologies, clinical workflows, and healthcare systems.
  • Experience with channel strategy, external partnerships, and portfolio management.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.
