QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field
• Current and valid nursing license
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing, preferably in a leadership role
• Experience working in a maritime or remote setting is a plus
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Knowledge of medical equipment and procedures
• Willingness to travel and work on board ships for extended periods of time

• Oversee the daily operations of the medical department on board ships
• Manage a team of nurses and provide guidance and support as needed
• Develop and implement medical protocols and procedures to ensure the health and safety of crew members
• Coordinate with the ship’s captain and crew to provide medical care and support as needed
• Maintain accurate medical records and reports
• Monitor and maintain medical supplies and equipment on board
• Conduct regular training and drills for medical emergencies
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
• Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including crew members, management, and medical professionals on shore
