The CNO plays a pivotal role in strategic planning and collaborates with other healthcare leaders to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that align with the healthcare authority's goals and regulatory standards. - Lead and manage the nursing staff, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. - Collaborate with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care. - Oversee the recruitment, training, and evaluation of nursing personnel to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce. - Monitor and evaluate patient care delivery, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. - Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes to enhance the overall performance of the healthcare facility. - Manage the nursing department budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while maintaining high-quality care. - Serve as a liaison between the nursing staff and other departments, promoting effective communication and collaboration. - Stay informed about the latest developments in nursing practice and healthcare regulations to ensure the facility remains at the forefront of patient care. - Advocate for patient rights and ensure that all nursing practices adhere to ethical standards and legal requirements.
