The Chief Nursing Officer is an executive leader responsible for overseeing all nursing practices, including emergency medicine and respiratory within the medical center. This role provides strategic direction, administration, and clinical leadership to ensure high-quality patient care, nursing efficiency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with the medical center and Novant Health’s mission, vision and values. Reporting directly to the facility President, with matrix reporting to the Market CNO, the CNO role focuses on aligning facility nursing practices with the broader health system’s standards and goals while ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care. The CNO is an essential member of the facility’s leadership team, supporting both facility-level operations and system-wide strategies for nursing excellence.
