Description
Brink Therapeutics Brink Therapeutics is a venture-backed biotech company specializing in the development of cutting-edge gene therapy tools. We focus on site-specific recombinases, highly efficient enzymes that enable precise DNA modifications such as inserting, removing, or inverting DNA sequences, without causing double-strand breaks. These recombinases offer a safer, more precise alternative to existing technologies like CRISPR-Cas9, giving them the potential to revolutionize Cell and Gene Therapies and finally push them over the brink of mass accessibility. Values Since our founding, Brink has grown dramatically into a high-performing team of 13 dedicated professionals. We have made significant technical strides in our platform and are now at a pivotal inflection point. By joining us now, you will experience the thrill of helping to structure and scale an ambitious company harnessing advanced Directed Evolution, deep gene-mining techniques, and AI to unlock new possibilities for treating cancers, autoimmune diseases, and genetic disorders. If you are an innovative individual excited about solving hard, longstanding problems to improve patients’ lives, we are looking for you to join our team and help shape the future of medicine! Mission Highlights As our first non-technical hire, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence and strategic alignment across the organization, with the ultimate goal of scaling our internal "operating system" and ensuring we are investor-ready for our next major fundraise. You will act as a force multiplier for the CEO, bridging the gap between our breakthrough science and business execution. Responsibilities Your core responsibilities will be: Strategic Governance: Help with the preparation for board meetings, investor reporting, and internal OKR tracking to ensure the team remains united in pursuing shared objectives. Operational Scaling: Design and execute internal processes across HR, finance, and administration to support a rapidly growing team. Fundraising & Finance: Support the CEO in preparing for the next fundraise and identifying/securing non-dilutive financing opportunities. Talent & Culture: Oversee the hiring and onboarding process to continue assembling an exceptional team of top-tier players. Special Projects: Tackle "everything and anything", from procurement and lab logistics to securing IP protection for research innovations. Competencies You feel at home in a fast-paced, high-stakes startup environment where no two days are the same. You are a "Swiss Army Knife" who enjoys translating complex technical milestones into actionable business strategies. You are a sharp and collaborative trouble-shooter who doesn’t shy away from hard problems and possesses the emotional intelligence to navigate a team of highly technical PhDs and engineers. Required: Educational qualification: Master’s degree from a top-tier engineering or business school. Proven record of innovative and independent problem-solving skills. Demonstrated expertise in operational management or strategy consulting. Project management experience with a track record of delivering on time while managing multiple stakeholders. Excellent written and oral communication skills. English: Professional working proficiency. The ideal candidate will also have some of the following: Experience working in startup environments or Venture Capital. A background in Biology or Bioengineering (or a deep curiosity for biotechnology). French Professional working proficiency Experience with non-dilutive funding and grant writing. Recruitment Process Introductory Call: With the CEO Jonathan Naccache or CTO Harry Kemble. Business Case: A practical exercise to test your prioritization and strategic thinking. Value Fit: Interviews with the rest of the team (Engineers & Scientists) on-site in Paris. Why join us? Impact: A unique opportunity to be part of an early-stage biotech shaping the future of genome editing. Stakeholder: Competitive salary and equity package. We want every employee to have a stake in the company’s success. Environment: Beautiful, well-equipped Central Paris location filled with great plants and great people! If you're excited about helping revolutionize genome editing and opening up Cell & Gene Therapy to the millions who could benefit, apply now, and let's make the difference together!
