Description
About Valinor Valinor is building a new kind of credit institution — one with the rigor and judgment of a financial firm and the speed and ambition of a technology company. We originate, structure, and distribute institutional-grade credit products natively on blockchain-based rails, with AI-driven operations and in partnership with the broader digital asset ecosystem. We recently raised a $25M seed round and are a small, high-conviction team operating at the frontier of capital markets. The Role We are hiring a Chief of Staff to serve as the right hand to Valinor's founders, supporting key strategic and operational initiatives. You will support high-priority initiatives across business development, new product identification, and strategic planning. You will help design and maintain the internal operating infrastructure that keeps a growing, multi-domain business coordinated. And you will handle the day-to-day execution that keeps the founders and team on track. We are a small team with no silos. You will work closely with the investment team, the technology and product team, and the operations team, and with outside investors & partners. The role offers unusual breadth - across credit investing, digital assets, stablecoin infrastructure, and venture - and close proximity to how the founders think and operate. What You'll Do Strategic Initiatives (supporting the CEO) Help organize and execute on strategic initiatives across business development, fundraising, partnership development, and new product identification. Prepare materials and analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making. Take the lead on special projects as they emerge — recruiting pushes, vendor evaluations, market analyses, partnership diligence — and drive them to completion. Internal Operating System (supporting the CBO) Help design and implement an agentic operating system across business development, underwriting, and distribution. Stand up and maintain the internal coordination infrastructure for a growing team: meeting rhythms, decision tracking, and project management. Identify processes that are broken, manual, or nonexistent — and ways to build or automate them. Research and experiment with AI-native workflows, applications, and best practices Operational Execution Serve as connective tissue across internal teams, business lines, and external partners — ensuring information flows, decisions do not stall, and new product and partnership initiatives stay coordinated across functions. Help manage external communications across investors, counterparties, and strategic partners. Prepare agendas, materials, and follow-ups for board meetings, investor updates, and internal leadership discussions. Help the founders manage and prioritize their time and competing demands — including optimizing personal operating systems, with an eye toward automating routine coordination over time. Why Valinor Early-stage and high momentum. $25M seed, active deal pipeline, partnerships with tier-1 counterparties, and a clear thesis on where credit markets are going. Cross-domain exposure. Valinor operates across credit, crypto, fintech, and venture capital. You will work with people across all of these worlds and develop fluency across them. Build the playbook. There is no inherited operating manual. You will help design digitally-native systems, processes, and rhythms that define how Valinor runs. Exceptional team. Small team with deep institutional credit and technology backgrounds. We move fast, think rigorously, and hold each other to a high bar. Sharp and organized. 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, startup operations, or a prior chief of staff role. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver independently. Disciplined on follow-through. Tracks every open item and closes every loop. Nothing falls through the cracks. Strong written and verbal communicator. Able to draft an investor update, prepare a board memo, and deliver a clear internal briefing. Comfortable with ambiguity. Energized by undefined problems; able to walk into a new area of the business and help determine what needs to happen. Excited about designing high-performance systems. Genuinely interested in using AI tools to systematize operations and build repeatable, scalable workflows. Prior experience is not required — intellectual curiosity and willingness to build are. Low ego, high standards. Willing to do whatever needs doing and holds themselves to a high bar across all of it. Nice to Have Background in finance or credit Experience building operational infrastructure from scratch: templates, dashboards, internal tools, lightweight automation Familiarity with crypto, DeFi, or digital assets Experience with agentic workflows Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) Retirement Plan (401k, IRA) Stock Option Plan
