Position Overview:
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a vital member of Holt’s Executive Leadership Team and plays a critical role in shaping and achieving Holt’s mission, vision, value, and goals through leadership of domestic and global operations. Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the COO provides strategic and operational oversight across all programmatic, procurement, technical, and financial functions. This executive will lead integrated growth initiatives, drive organizational performance, and elevate Holt’s global impact through innovative, scalable, and sustainable solutions that support Holt’s strategic plan. The COO will advise the CEO and assist in the regular reporting of Holt’s progress and challenges both internally and externally as appropriate.

Requirements:
Qualifications
Minimum 15 years of demonstrated executive leadership experience, including demonstrated senior leadership roles in nonprofit management, international development, or equivalent experience.
Proven demonstrated experience in strategic planning, financial strategies, leadership of performance and quality improvement initiatives, and transformational change efforts.
Master’s degree (minimum) in business administration, international relations, social work, or related field.
Strong financial acumen and cross-cultural leadership experience.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Strong public representation skills.
Demonstrated commitment to child welfare values, cross-cultural equity, and ethical leadership.
Proven record of embracing Holt’s core values and leadership by example
