Description About LIFE Senior Services LIFE Senior Services is a mission-driven nonprofit organization serving older adults and caregivers through a wide range of programs designed to promote independence, dignity, and quality of life. Our work spans transportation, adult day health, case management, benefits assistance, and active senior services across the Tulsa community. Position Overview LIFE Senior Services is seeking a strategic, hands-on Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and optimize day-to-day operations across multiple programs. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the COO will be responsible for operational performance, regulatory compliance, budget oversight, and cross-functional collaboration. This role is central to ensuring programs are effective, compliant, financially sound, and aligned with LIFE’s mission. The ideal candidate is a systems thinker, strong people leader, and community-minded executive who can balance operational rigor with innovation in service delivery. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations across LIFE programs, including transportation, adult day health, active senior center services, independent and Advantage case management, and Medicare and tax assistance programs Develop, implement, and monitor operational strategies aligned with organizational goals Lead budget development and monitoring across programs in partnership with executive leadership Ensure regulatory compliance and readiness for audits and external reviews Strengthen operational processes, performance metrics, and accountability systems Collaborate closely with the CEO and leadership team to support organizational growth and sustainability Foster a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement Represent LIFE Senior Services in the community and contribute to innovation in senior and caregiver services Skills and Attributes Strategic and operational mindset Strong project management and organizational skills High level of initiative, resourcefulness, and attention to detail Ability to build trust and lead through influence Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office technology Work Environment & Requirements Office-based nonprofit environment with a high activity level Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds Must be able to communicate effectively in English Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions Why Join LIFE Senior Services This is an opportunity to play a pivotal leadership role in an organization with deep community impact. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Good hearing, visual and speech capability. Ability to lift 25 pounds. Requires sitting, walking, standing, bending, and stair climbing. Requires dependable transportation.
